January 5, 1911 at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, under the meticulous guidance of Founder Elder Watson Diggs, along with nine great men:

Founder Dr. Marcus Peter Blakemore
Founder Paul Waymond Caine

Founder Sgt. John Milton Lee
who bonded together in the creation of a fraternity intended:
To unite college men of culture, patriotism, and honor in a bond of fraternity
To encourage honorable achievement in every field of human endeavor
To promote the spiritual, social, intellectual, and moral welfare of its members
To assist the aims and purposes of colleges and universities
To inspire service in the public interest
all under the banner of Kappa Alpha Nu, later renamed Kappa Alpha Psi.
This miraculous occurrence now distinctly etched onto the stone of American history has flourished into a membership of more than 150,000 high achieving men across 700+ undergraduate and alumni chapters throughout the world.
We are KAPPA ALPHA PSI FRATERNITY, INCORPORATED – A collective of noble and bold men also known as the NUPES, who intently pursue honorable achievement in every field of human endeavor into perpetuity!
